I provide educational programs and project consultations
on Biomaterials Design & Biodesign.
I work with students, individuals and brands who want to delve into this fascinating field with me and incorporate these techniques into their practice.
For different design/art fields, such as textiles, fashion, product, furniture, architecture, interior, sculpture, curation, scenography and gastronomy.
I design spaces to learn, investigate, experiment, connect, make, sense, make sense
have fun and experience awe.
With sessions tailored to clients' goals, timing, budget and discipline, I provide expert guidance, serious but not boring theory, practical knowledge, R&D support, the best recipes and tricks, a tested methodology, an archive and experience.
In English or Castellano.
Workshops
For groups
1-Day to 3-Weeks
As an introduction to the subject, I offer an impactful fun group workshop where participants will create biomaterials from their favourite food waste. They will explore the possibilities of overlooked resources and reflect on their consumption and waste habits, receive an inspiring lecture and make their own ‘plastics’ and ‘textiles’ integrating these techniques into their practice or stimulating new project ideas.
Webinars
For groups
2-Hours
Participants will receive an enriching presentation created for their design discipline. I will share some
of my experience working in Academia, insights gained from my students and collaborations within my network, showcase the latest cutting-edge concepts and innovations within the industry, as well as the motivations why
we do this. Additionally, I could offer a Q&A, guidance on how to start, and online resources to engage students
in this rapidly evolving field.
External Mentorships
For individual students
3-Months
I provide individual training, guidance and advice to university students graduating with a biomaterials project.
It includes biomaterials R&D, the realisation of an R&D book, concept and project design, product design, exhibition curation and writing advice.
Project Consultations
For individuals
3-Months
I provide individual training, guidance and advice to university students graduating with a bio-based project. I teach biomaterials making and R&D, and could include the realisation of an R&D book, concept and project design,
product design, exhibition curation and writing advice.
Personal Education
For individuals
2-Months
Participants will learn the basics of biomaterials-making by recycling mixed organic waste,
making composites, and adding sensorial qualities such as textures, shades, scents, flexibility and finishings.
They will explore the possibilities and limitations of overlooked resources and reflect on their consumption and waste habits. There will be time for inspiring lectures, practical exercises, experiments, sharing research findings and developing
their own biomaterial collection and recipes, to make prototypes, integrate these techniques into their practice
and stimulate new ideas.
